I recently finished "Supernova Era" by Cixin Liu. The opening chapters had me hooked. The scientific details about the unseen supernova and its potential impact on humanity were fascinating – classic hard science fiction. However, that level of scientific exploration doesn't continue throughout the novel. Compared to Liu's other works, "Supernova Era" leans more on social and political themes.
