My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I'm drawn to Douglas's book series for its unapologetic hardcore science focus. It's devoid of any fantasy elements, as I've gleaned from his other works. The portrayal of aliens as truly alien, without any anthropomorphic traits, is a testament to his dedication to scientific accuracy.
In my view, artificial intelligence doesn't pose a threat to humanity. However, the fundamental drivers of human behavior persist. Social prejudices stemming from class distinctions endure, and conflicts often revolve around resource disputes or misunderstandings.
Douglas's books, including this one, spark our imagination, offering glimpses of what humanity could become through responsible technology utilization. 📚🔬🤖 #ScienceFiction #DouglasSeries #FutureOfHumanity

I also enjoy sci fi. I looked over your reviews and many of the authors listed are among my favorites as well dating back to the '50s. i did expect to see Arthur Clark listed. One juvenile book of his you would enjoy, I believe. The title is Childhood's End.
ReplyDeleteI did read that book and I did see the TV series based on the book. I like science fiction books that deal with hard science. Star Trek it's hard science. Star Wars is science fantasy.
